Enjoy the slideshow .... MarineMax Wrightsville Beach NC. Notice the Red Tag Specials .... you can even get them to some off those prices!

Some of the boats in the SS are the Outrage 240, Outrage 320 Cuddy, Outrage 210, Conquest 305, Outrage 320, Duantless 2000, Duantless 18, Duantless 220.

I went to the local boat show yesterday. Disappointing turnout by MarineMax. Only two Whalers...a 150 Montauk and 210 Outrage. I was hoping to get a glimpse of the 190 Montauk. No "Red Tag" sale. Still, $60K for a 21 foot boat is ridiculous!

Most impressive boat at my show: Everglades 350 CC with 900 horsepower (3 x 300 Suzuki 4 strokes). Boat had "Fountain like" trim tabs integral to hull, a berth and head under cavernous CC and cushion comfort pad removable seating in the focs'le area. I did not realize Dougherty was building a boat this massive! Makes the 290 Pilot look diminutive! I'd buy one of these CC's over the current Outrage generation.

GEEEZE 60 grand for a 21 Outrage??? It was 44 when I was looking at them in 2004...then settled for the Nantucket...glad I did...GEEEZE thats even 48 now!!!! I just couldnt see doing a 21 for 44 at the time, and got what now is a spectacular deal on my Nantucket based on todays prices......

Up here, Ive not seen red tag sales DELMarva area....

but I just think the used market benifits from the higher prices...and thats why sales are lagging for new ones....

The 24' Regulator in the other thread I posted with the Yamaha 350 on the back is listed at $109000. Not just Whaler. That makes that 240 Outrage with twins look like a steal. By the way, the 240 Outrage has a Northstar 6100i and Navman VHF installed.

I was told to expect a 5% increase in price for the 2008 models. Do Boston Whalers historically go up in price 5% annually?

I attended a "Clear the Decks" sale in Greenville, SC last week. A representative from Hall Marine Group told me that Whalers would be going up 5-6% for the 2008 model year.

He also said that the new console on the 2008 Montauk 170 would be 3" higher than the present console. He didn't know anything about width, but hoped it hadn't changed.

Gotta love that $246,032 sticker on that Conquest. I bought a waterfront ocean access house in Palm Beach County, Florida for less than that, less than 10 years ago! Yipes!!

Reading the discussion about the Outrage prices, I was marveling if I purchased one, I'd have to mortgage the house again. Seeing the tag on that Conquest, it made me realize how much of a bargain the 345 Conquest was at Miami in February when they first showed it for $399,999.
