I have a 2006 13 Sport. We use it every weekend and have found it difficult to keep the non-skid clean. So, I'm considering have some snap in marine carpet sections made for the areas that get the foot traffic. I would have the edges bound.
Has anyone done this? It seems like it would keep the floor much cleaner, and when the carpet gets dirty- just unsnap and clean. Looking for input.

Another solution is to use Dri-Dek tiles. They are available from most of the large marine catalog/stores. The cheapest is often from Dri-Dek itself. See the following link:

To make cleanup easy you can use Woody Wax on the nonskid under the Dri-Dek.

The marine carpet sections would work fine with your boat. I know what you mean about keeping non-skid clean, it's a never ending chore. I was going to use them in my 285 Conquest, but the 3 hatches in the deck have drains in them, so the water wouldn't flow out properly. I live in Florida and it rains very often.
On a 13, it would be easy to pop them in and out.

We had two snap in marine carpets made to cover the area normally covered by the aft seat cushions which is also non skid under the cushions. We use the bat for diving a lot so when we do we remove the cushions and install the snap in carpet to prevent heavy wear and damage ot the non skid. I am going to make another for the bow area.

I installed Dri Dek on my 1987 Montauk and my 1991 Outrage 17 after seeing what Chuck Tribolet did.

I transport people, freight, building materials to an island.

This solution works well, is not attached so no holes or glue. It removes easily for cleaning.

DriDek is great, we have that installed from stem to stern.

There's just something about carpeting ths inside of a boat that makes me think Bayliner or the like. I'd look for another solution, personally.
