I have a 1994 24'outrage with twin 150hp e-tecs. I just purchased a Fruno FC585 sounder with a transom mount transducer. Were would the best location to mount the transducer be ? I was told dead center of the transom but the drain plug will be in the way .

Mount it either left or right of the drain hole as close to it as possible. |

You are getting bad info, I have the similar Furuno FF with a P66 transom mount which is probably what you have. Follow Airmars directions as to the mounting for twins.
