You'll be hard pressed to find a Whaler that can do as many things well as [a 2002 Boston Whaler VENTURA 210] do can. [A 2002 Boston Whaler VENTURA 210] is the SUV of the Whaler fleet. It can take you fishing, on family outings and can cruise with the best of them. It has the legs to get you to the offshore fishing grounds and the creature comforts expected on a family boat. I've got a 2002 powered by a Opti 225 that hasn't missed a beat. More than 1600 hours on the boat and motor and couldn't be happier. I fish my Ventura 50 miles offshore on a regular basis so you can bet I have pushed the envelop a few times. The helm area is good a gives you some options when it comes to mounting electronics. My boat has a full enclosure so I can fish or cruise it year round. Here are some videos and pictures of the boat in action. I can pretty much echo Tom's comments. We bought our [Boston Whaler VENTURA 210] in July 2005-new-with the 225 Verado. I am thrilled with this boat, and continue to upgrade with canvas, electronics, etc. I fish her off the New Jersey coast, upto 15 miles off, about 70% of the time. The rest is family cruising, swimming and snoozing at anchor. We love the boat. I like calling it a wolf in sheeps clothing, as it does more things well than one would think at first glance. |

Tombro or Bluewaterpirate, I have been unable to locate a forward shelter for [a Boston Whaler VENTURA 210], I have contacted both Mills canvas and Jeans canvas, both said they could do it if a boat can be provided, but I am in Florida. Know anyone in NY or NJ with a 210 that can bring it by for a fitment? |

Find a good canvas shop in Fl and have them do it. Should not be an issue. |

Too low for a large cooler but if you look hard you can find one that fits underneath the rear seat ...... you can also use a larger cooler as a seat. I have a big one that I use when I go offshore can store about 100lbs of ice in it. |

Thanks for your help, should have my [Boston Whaler VENTURA 210] by the weekend. I will post some photos. I have my GPSMAP 478 en route with XM! Looking forward to it, going to try out a G2 vision card as well. |

They make what is called a mooring cover for the front seat area but not an enclosure large enough to get under with ease. You could have one manufactured but it wouldn't be suitable for underway ops (block your forward view). If you look closely in Tombro's picture you'll see the mooring cover. Tom |

Yes. There is a mooring cover, like mine, but not a spray hood, which is typically seen on center consoles. Since the mooring cover snaps to the bottom of the walkthru windshield and then the Strataglas goes from the top of the windshield to the bimini--I am pretty cozy on cool days. And stay dry all the time. I remove the bow mooring piece in warm weather for airflow, though. |

I was looking for a fold down forward mini shelter to cover the bow seating area, something for my kids. Does anyone make a Bimini top extension to get full coverage straight back? |

Yes, that kind of extension to the bimini top can be done by any good canvas person. They call it a camper top, and you can enclose that area, too. Try Google-ing the C-Dory boats to see examples. Many of those vest-pocket cruisers are equipped with this feature. |

Bluewater, I have a GPSmap 478 and it came with the same marine bracket that you have for the 376, how do you mount the marine bracket? Mine did not come with any hardware? Thanks |

Also who would I call or find online to get whaler parts, OEM cupholders, my stern ligth needs to be replaced. And my front center fill cusion is bent. The boat runs nicely, I did not get to go out of port, but took it for a quick ride. Going back out on Sunday with the wife and kids Thanks to all for your help. Matt |
