Author	Topic:   Montauk swim ladder pulled out
R Rogers	posted 08-06-2008 11:07 AM ET (US)         The Montauk is getting a lot of use this summer and the swim ladder has taken a beating from my teenage kids. The top screw that holds the ladder to the boat has pulled out. Does anybody have advice on how to secure a screw that has pulled out? Thanks
deepwater	posted 08-06-2008 11:49 AM ET (US)             drilled filled and re-screwed,,if its in an area that you can through bolt it i would go all the way and do a backing plate and seal it up tight
HuronBob	posted 08-06-2008 12:52 PM ET (US)             This happened to my 130 Sport. I let the dealer do the repair.. The hole (at least in the 130)was retapped a bit larger and a new bolt was put in. It has held just fine for the three years since.. It was a 1/2 hour job at most.
