Where is the factory switch location for the Trim Tab control? Were did you install yours?

From the owner's manual:

"The trim tabs are controlled by rocker switches
located on the center part of your console above the
throttle control."

One thing that we like to do is to position the trim tab switch just forward of the binnacle lever at the full throttle position. That way, you can operate the tabs with your hand on the throttle lever, while still maintaining a grip on the wheel. If you are trying to adjust running attitude or trying to milk every last MPH out of your boat, this is the best position, if the helm area allows it.

If you find you use your tabs to adjust for a list or passenger imbalance, or you're simply trying to put a little more hull in the water to smooth out a ride, any easily accessable position on the helm will suffice.

JMHO...

Thank you! Now only If I have the guts and confidence to cut the panel! Will advise!

Alfred,
If you have Bennetts, a 2 1/2" hole saw will do the trick. Beats using the template Bennett provides. If you are nervous about doing this, cut the same hole in a piece of cardboard, and place the switch in the cutout. You'll see!

I have no issues if cutting fiberglass, but haven't cut aluminum with a hole cutter before. Will try on a scrap. Won't get it done till next weekend though, am away on assignment for the next 5 days.

Measured up the Lenco switch and it looks like I can fit it easily on the instrument cluster between the dials and rocker switches, so while I am on assignment this week, I will slowly make a mounting/drilling template to aid the cutting of the plug and mounting holes.

Alfred,
A standard hole saw will work fine on the panel. A piece of advice. Once you determine the location, tape off that area with masking tape (tape first, then mark your hole center on the tape). This keeps any whirling aluminum shavings from scarring up the panel.
