Went down Saturday to take a few things to the dealer they'll be installing. Here are a few photos of the boat unwrapped. http://s268.photobucket.com/albums/jj32/LPBagi/New%20Dauntless%20180/?action=tageditmany |

Thanks Seth Yea, the folding rear seat was one of the things that sold me on the boat. That along with the nice amount of storage under it. |

Best of luck Feej! That rear seat back looks like it would cut the sound level of the outboard when deployed. Hope you have a great time with it. Is your plan to have this boat round Manhattan in June? Nice win tonight (Flyers) |

Congratulations, boat looks like it wants to take off. How long before you launch? A word of caution about the ski tow post and struts fwd of the engine can scratch the cowl if you tilt the motor to full up position. Best regards, Scott |

Thanks guys The dealer has already warned me about not tilting the engine too far forward with the pylon up. |

Feejer, Very nice boat, it should fly with the V-rod 150 on back. Any idea on the top end speed? Congratulations on your new boat, enjoy! Robert V |

I've been up to 42 by GPS, could have gone higher. One of the challenges with the Verado break in is the scheduled WOT runs & finding a safe place to do it. |

Yea I here you. The 1st two hours are the worst. Running to WOT for about a minute, every 10 minutes. The next 8 are not too bad. I hope the weather will be good when I do it. |

Congrats I think the one I have seen here at the dealers had a slide out cooler under the helm seat, is yours just storage ? enjoy Regards |

Steve Thats the new model. The 07 has storage in the helm seat and a sit on cooler in front of the helm. The console is also completely different, which is one of the reason's I'm glad I found the 07. |

Feejer That sounds better especially if the one in front of the helm is not the molded in one I have seen, although it looks nice, without will give you more options etc. I did like the way the cooler on the 08 slid out No doubt more pics will be on the way :) and explain all I nearly got the 08 Dauntless then I found an unused 2006 210 with all extras for the same price as all hulls here are blank so just the differance between a 150 and a 210 of my choice to pay for. A short update We called off the sea trail and pickup today for two reasons. The weather and the missing VHF antenna. FedEx lost is early last week, the new one will be in on Monday. The winds at the shore were nuts today when I dropped off the Montauk. 30-40mph with guest to 50. The boat is 99% done. The two AGM group 31 batts are in place along with the BEP battery switch. They also ran the wiring back for my underwater lights from the console. This morning it was in the service bay getting the outside of the boat detailed. Shooting for Good Friday as a pickup date. |

This is like anticipating the birth of a sibling's or good friend's child - even though it aint yours, you're still excited as hell about it. I'm chomping at the bit for you. Feej I think I got goose bumps reading your update.... almost there buddy, almost there. |

Bet you can't wait to splash the hull! I now the feeling. Which underwater lights did you get and how did they run the wires? Do you have a pic? |

Alfred No photos yet. http://www.coastalnightlights.com/ I have the double wide, used them on the Montauk and they work great. The amount of light you get from the LED's is unbelievable considering the amp draw. FYI, don't look at the light, you'll be seeing stars for hours. |

Alfred The wires were hooked up to the accessory switch and ran back thru the tunnel to the bilge. I just need to figure out how to run them to the lights. I'm not sure if I'm going to go thru the hull or over it. I might even come out thru the bilge hatch and run them out the two drains in the engine well. When I do I'll post some pictures. |
