I am being offered a 1992 Boston Whaler 27 Walk Around that comes with pair of 2000 Evinrude 225. I have been a fan of whaler my whole life and got to ride this same boat but manufactured in 1986. I am really looking forward to purchasing this boat. From the pictures I have seen, the 1992 model has been improved when compared to the 1991 model. Since only 300 of the 1992 walk around where manufactured, I would like to know if there are any differences between this model from the prior ones, especially when it comes to weight, structure and navigability.

Check in the Reference section of this website. Specifically http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/specifications. html#hulls24-31

Best of luck with your purchase.

I am afraid you are off-topic here in POST-CLASSIC. A post-classic Whaler is one that was first designed or sold after c.1990. A boat whose design dates from the 1980's is not a post-classic.

Jim, I suspect the OP wouldn't know this.

Leeway is nice...

Thomas,
I own a 1991 27 Walkaround with twin 250 E-tecs and would also be available if you have any questions. My family and I love this boat. We regularly take three to five day trips in the Chesapeake and have no problems.
