Have had several trips in my [just purchased] 1996 Outrage 19. I was a bit concerned coming down from my 1984 Mako 251, but really suprised on how nice my Whaler handles and how well it handles the chop. Really nice and softer ride than my big Mako sled. Honestly nice appointments, too! I've got a Yamaha 150-HP on back, and, although I'm not setting any speed records, [the boat] runs pretty easily to 40-MPH at 4,900-RPM. I have a SPORT 13, but the Accutrack hull is really different. Glad I made the switch. My family loves it too!

Hi everyone. I bought a [1996] Outrage 19 about two weeks ago. [I]t has a Johnson 175-HP Ocean Runner. [I h]ave used it in windy and choppy Barnegat Bay, and the boat runs smoothly and [stays] dry--almost. I love it--can't wait 'til next season.

You might want to check your tach or voltage regulators. My 1996 19/20 Outrage. My boat with a 150 EFI Merc would turn 5400 turning a 17 pitch prop @ 42mph
