Did anyone notice the price increase of new Boston Whaler's along with the announcement of the 21'Montauk ?

Can you give some examples? The only price I was previously familiar with was the price for the 235 Conquest, and that does not appear to have been recently changed. |

I could not quote exact figures example 150 ss was 17,000+ Now it is 18,000+ I purchased a 130 ss in June I know the new msrp is higher. I just checked them a week ago . |

The price of accessories has also gone up ex.- a bimini for a 130SS went from $999.00 to $1091.00 this week, along with many other accessories . Trust me I have been checking. |

Sometime during the course of the day today they raised the base price of the 235 Conquest by more than $2,000. |

The same 170 Montauk I bought new in 2006 for 24K now goes for 29K. |

Boston Whalers are expensive, no doubt. I hope that BW continues to sell expensive boats even during the recession. That will keep them...and their dealer network in business. But at some point I agree, they will price themselves out of business. |

And... if they do, thank goodness Boston Whaler boat are so well made that used ones will be functional for a long time.jimL |
