Hi All,

I am looking into getting a 21 Conquest. However, my concern is storing it. I'd like to be able to store it in my garage. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the approx. height of the boat (non-hardtop) on a trailer. I know this can and does vary. I would also like to know the overall length on a trailer, again I realize this can vary.

Thanks for your help!

My 1998 BW 21' Conquest is (non hard top) on a bunk Calkins trailer. The height to the highest point of the windshield is 8'1" and the length with motor down is 27'7" measured from the end of the anti-ventilation plate to the front of the coupler.

Excellent. Thanks for the information! I was worried that it might be over 8' high. 27'7" wow, I wouldn't have guessed that. I guess I'm going to need to remodel my garage prior to getting the boat. Darn HOAs. Although, honestly, I don't think I could stand leaving it out in the weather.

Thanks again,

Dan

Have you considered retrofitting a swing trailer tongue to your trailer? It should shorten your trailer length by a foot or so depending upon how it is installed. If you are close it may get the job done.

Another work around is to lower your trailer tongue with the jack so you can lower your outboard to minimize overall length of your boat. You can also turn your outboard all the way to gain another few inches. Lower the tongue only enough for your skeg to clear the concrete.

If you find it necessary to lower your profile to clear an overhead obstruction lower your trailer tire pressure as much as possible. If you need to lower the profile only to get the windshield past the garage door lowering the trailer tongue almost to the floor and then supporting the coupler with a hydraulic floor jack will be helpful.

I have a swing back draw bar for my Conquest trailer.
I reckon it saves a couple of feet

If you end up needing to lose a couple of inches of height look into having the axles "underslung". A forum member did that with his 23 Walkaround's trailer.
