Evinrude Ficht: Blocked Vapor Separator

Q1: on an Evinrude FICHT engine, how can the [fuel] vapor separator be unblocked?

In an old forum post a user offshore 825 writes:

I was able to unblock the vapor separator and the engine ran great.

My Evinrude FICHT engine [of unspecified model year and horsepower] has the same symptoms--EMM Overtemp Code 25. I have checked all other components, and everything seems fine.

Q2: which passage in the fuel vapor separator is blocked: the fuel or the cooling water?

I seem to recall that on some FICHT engines the EMM cooling water passageway can be cleared after removing the EMM from the engine block, a relatively simple task.
