Q1: Is there a copy of the owner's manual for a SQUALL 9 available in PDF format ?

In a trade I picked up a Boston Whaler Squall 9 with most of the gear in good condition. Someone told me the sail and mast were from a Sunfish and would fit but [have] a different diameter pole. If I I can't find the proper mast I will put on a 3.5 HP outboard.--DRG

There isn't a PDF version of the owner's manual for a SQUALL 9 hosted here. The original Boston Whaler documents being hosted here are listed in the REFERENCE section. The selection is very limited. That is because once Boston Whaler established an internet presence and email presence their customer support people have been willing to email original documents to anyone who inquires. That eliminated the need to try to collect them here. I recommend you contact Boston Whaler customer support.

Most one-design sailboats have owner's associations. Perhaps the SQUALL 9 has such an organization. One-design sailboat organizations generally have extensive knowledge about the boats they sail.

I have a zip file of 47 Whaler Squall drawings that I would be glad to send to anyone who wants it. It covers the Squall info from the original to the final sail configuration (which had a sleeve type sail that slipped over the mast similar to a Laser). It also has drawings of the mast, sprit tubes, rudder, centerboard (and its mechanism/handle etc), sprit sail, hull, etc. It also has an old set of rigging instructions. It is very useful to anyone who is restoring a Squall. The file is 5.3 Meg and I would be willing to email it to anyone who wants it. I just need an email address to send it.

Below are several drawings of the SQUALL 9. The other 43 drawings are mostly mechanical drawings giving details of the fabrication of particular components made by Boston Whaler.
