I'm late to the game but finally bought a 2005 Boston Whaler 210 Ventura.
The boat is in mint condition--98-hours--however the front-to-back seat is full of little tears on the back support. It looks like a fishing lure was slapping at it while in tow and damaged it. By damage I mean about 25 cuts that are I/8-inch in length and go completely through the outer skin. It looks like new damage because the cuts are clean and you don't notice them until you get up close or put pressure near the tears. I know it will get worse over time. Because the boat is in such good condition I would like to fix the problem soon.
Can I buy an original seat material for replacement?
Can it be repaired with some type of glue?
Can a good upholstery person match it with off the shelf material?
I also attached a picture of the boat because I'm in love with the boat!
