As some of you know, I take and share a whole bunch of pictures of my favorite past time and my favorite boat.
This has been a good year for pictures. Thanks to all of you that took the time to view and comment on my pictures. Thanks to Jim, who featured one of my picture series and narrative on this great web site.

Great shots Jack!
I like this one - it is forum member Paul (Cicada), at about 45 MPH on Mullet Lake in Northern Michigan at sundown.

I also like this one, taken July 4 weekend off N. Manitou Island in Lake Michigan. I especially like the look of the water - it really illustrates how fortunate we are in the Great Lakes area to have crystal clear water...

Here is a video from this past summer. I was taken a ride up the Westport River on our 13' Whaler and brought along my camera.

I just loved the way Ichthus looked on Little Traverse Bay during a break in a day filled with running around the bay under the pretense of salmon fishing. This shot was taken anchored off the State Park Beach where my mom and sisters were spending the day. I fisnished out the day by catching a nice King Salmon while trolling right into a spectacular sunset, just as the sun dipped below the waves.

I think this is a neat tradition to start. I've never seen a 31L before, thanks for sharing.
I'll throw something into the mix. This is my dad's 17' Montauk at Morris Island, SC after a light rain. The boat was sold this past Sunday.

Re Split Rock: that looks like the footings for an old dock. The shape is rather rectangular. Wading to the boat must be a bit chilly.

Jim - that is indeed a crib from an old dock from the days when the good Norwegians fished commercially out of Split Rock. Believe it or not, it is deep enough that I can clear the old dock crib with the motors all the way down, the water is just that clear.

Plotman	posted 01-09-2007 07:24 PM ET (US) Jim - that is indeed a crib from an old dock from the days when the good Norwegians fished commercially out of Split Rock. Believe it or not, it is deep enough that I can clear the old dock crib with the motors all the way down, the water is just that clear.
