FAVORITE PICTURES OF 2007--Part Two This is a continuation from Part One. I split this up into a multiple parts, as the thread was getting so long it would not reliably load all the pictures. Please continue with contributions of your favorite picture of 2007. Here's one from our trip in August to Flowerpot Island, in Georgian Bay

John, Nice idea starting this thread. Jim, thank you for including the images. Who says a Montauk cannot handle twins: Remember your first keeper striper? Do you think the smile will get bigger if I get a bigger boat? (That's the line I am using on my wife this week.) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Dan |

More, Here is Buckda on Gambler Running on Lake St Clair in the early Morning. Here is me in my Outrage running pass the Old Club at the south end of Harsen's Island. Buckda shot this image. Looking at the picture you would think it would be from the Carolinas or some other southern salt water area. Funny thing is if I turned and looked off my stern I can see the sky line of Downtown Detroit. Here is shot of My father (left) and his friend Dave (right) running the Guardian on Torch Lake for the BW Owners event this past August. Here they are running my 22 Outrage |

Here are a few of my favorites from 2007. The swabs control the cuddy cabin afloat on the Petaluma River, during the NorCal Rendesvous in May. Pictured here are the results of my better salmon fishing days. On a hot tip, we made a long run across Monterey Bay for the score. Seeing a pod of humpback whales on the return trip, and outrunning some nasty weather after early limits were just icing on the cake. This is what family boating is all about. A picnic lunch at anchor on a sunny summer day. It doesn't get much better than this. |

Not a lot of on water time this year, I sold Dauntless 20, purchased an 11 Standard and an Outrage 18. End result is, my son is taller than I am. MartyD ![]()

My second 1987 18 Outrage back in its slip after a 40 mile solo fishing/cruising run on a cool day in mid September 2007. Didn't catch anything but a nice relaxing afternoon on the water.

Here are two of my favorites. The Outrage being lifted onto the trailer in Key West for the long 15 hour ride back to Atlanta This was taken by Kevin on Minitauk at the September Lanier gathering. It has become my laptop wallpaper. Thanks Kevin! |

Definitely my high point on the water this year: My then almost two year old at the helm of her 13 Super Sport that we towed up to the Adirondacks this summer. Once she figured out that throwing the helm over caused the boat to heel over, she was carving that lake up! She wanted to operate the throttle too. Next year, peanut!
Thanks for doing this jimh. These are always my favorite threads! |

These two photo’s were taken by Warren Tom (WT) during the 2007 Northern California Rendezvous. The pictures show me and my fiancée Peggy in my 2003 Dauntless 160. The location is San Francisco Bay.

Business took me this fall to San Diego. I thought I left my whalering days on hold, but to my delight a co-worker graciously shared his new Montauk 170 with me. These two photos capture both the beautiful and ugly side of Mother Nature in southern California.

Jim, Thanks for taking the time to arrange all these inline pictures for this thread. It is really a joy to see all the good times we have experienced this past year in our Whalers. During this time of year we should be truly thankful for what we have. We are lucky we can enjoy the fruits of our labor and all the experience we have as a result of our whaler ownership. Thanks Jim and Merry Christmas to you and your family. I wish equal or greater joy to the ContinuousWave family in 2008 |

I second Joe's sentiments. This is far and away my favorite thread of the year because it really does help me realize how fortunate I really am. Thanks to Jimh for tirelessly keeping this fabulous community afloat (pun intended) and providing a space for us to hang out when we are not on the water. Merry Christmas and best wishes for a healthy and prosperous new year to Jim and the entire ContinuousWave family. |

Sunset on an overnight tuna fishing trip at the Lindenkohl Canyon off the New Jersey coast, about 70 miles offshore, September 22, 2007. Made the run in a 28' Grady White Sailfish, 24 hour trip.
Trolling the Barnegat Ridge about 14 miles out of Barnegat Inlet late August 2007 on my 1997 21 Outrage. Caught False Albacore all day. Don't let the size fool you, they rip drag! Fun day. Too bad they don't taste good. My first time running my boat out that far.
Great photos everyone, really enjoy them. Rich |

My most memorable boating picture of 2007 is probably this one, the first day I took my 'new' 1995 Outrage 21 out. The sky was a crazy combination of sunshine and clouds, the water was beautiful. Having had the same 15 Sport for 20 years, this was a memorable day to have a new Whaler to enjoy.

My destinations were not exactly exotic or among grand Colorado scenery. I was just pleased to finish off my Nauset project and have it in the water. Hope to have a few pics of it in a 10,000+ ft elevation lake next year.
