A 16-foot dual console Boston Whaler SL16 (pictured below) disappeared from its anchorage off of Hungars Beach, Virginia, sometime between 11 p.m. on Friday August 29 and 6 a.m. on Saturday August 30, 2014. It has a maroon canopy top, which was down. Fishing rods, tackle box, and PFDs were on board. If you have any information regarding its whereabouts, please contact Tom at 610-308-9244.
The boat is a 1993. It has a 1993 Johnson 90-HP outboard engine. Delaware registration is DL2608AA. The hull identification number is BWCDA640E393. Whether she broke free of her mooring and is adrift or was intentionally removed by some nefarious individuals is not quite certain at this moment. In either case, please report any sightings.

Attended a party across from the mouth of Hungars' Creek on Monday, 9/1.Forwarded the link to a friend who lives in the area whom I'm sure will spread the word. Most everyone in the Cape Charles area knows boats. If it is still local, someone will probably notice. M

The missing Boston Whaler was located on Friday, September 5, on Occohannock Creek about 12 miles north of its mooring. I don't have any further details about what it had been doing for the week it was missing. |
