[What is] the year of a SPORT 13 [with] HIN 7665? What is the boat worth? [The boat's condition is] not bad shape. [The boat] needs restoring. All the wood is there, and the hull has very few bumps and bruises on it. [Give] any thoughts. Thanks Tim |

Tim, see the "FAQ" listed above to determine the year from HIN. Looks like it could be 1965? If you can, have it weighed or put it in the water to see how well it floats before making an offer. Could be dry as a bone or be a sponge. Good luck! Brian |

[I] just put a call into Boston Whaler. [The year of the SPORT 13 with stencil number 7665] turns out to be 1962. My son and I grabbed hold of it and flipped it pretty easily. [I plan to purchase it.] Thanks for the info |

It could be worth $750 to more than $4,500. Pictures would be very helpful in understanding the true condition, as well as what other equipment is with the boat. What about a motor and trailer? What are their conditions and vintages? BTW, this is a topic for the marketplace forum ---> |

For help in determining the age of a Boston Whaler boat, see the answer to this frequently asked question at http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/FAQ/#Q1 Note that there will not be any Hull Identification Number (HIN) on boats made prior to November 1972. Determining manufacturing epoch of a 13-foot without a HIN can be made by interpretation of the serial number applied with a stencil. See http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/13/ A 13-foot Boston Whaler boat with stencil number 7665 would have been made in the epoch 1961 to 1963. |
