Very nice boat.

Has the gel coat on the bottom been heavily sanded to apply the the paint?

How is the Cetol holding up. Is it a yearly clean up and touch up?

The reason I ask about these things are I would want to remove the bottom paint and I lean toward teak oils. I have used Sikens but sold the boat before I had a chance to see how it lasted.

This would be a dream boat for me. Very nice.

The boat has been sanded and bottom painted every summer for the past 22 years.

The teak was completely taken off the boat two years ago, sanded, and finished with four coats of cetol.
Last spring I lightly sanded and added two coats.
This year I did a very light sand in some spots and applied one coat.
It's holding up well. It's not perfect, but I think it still looks very good.

98% certain new 77 Gallon tank in 2004. (I will confirm tomorrow.)

That would be a bonus.

Newtauk1,

The boatyard got back to me last night. They said they did an "extensive cleaning " of the fuel tank during the repower in 2004 and that it was in good shape at that time. So yes, it is the original tank.

Beautiful boat! I have the same one, but I need to re-power and I would love to hear your opinion of the Honda 150. I am up in Cape Ann, Essex/Gloucester area and have found the HOnda 150 at a good price but don't know much about it. Would you mind telling me how you felt it handles the ocean around here. Did it have enough hp to handle some rougher water? What about reliability, maintenance, corrosion?

If you do not want to post all that info here please email me at bogan207@gmail.com.

Thanks and good luck with your sale. You are going to make someone a very happy owner of a great boat.

Bogan,

Above ,you will see a link where I dicussed some performance #'s for the boat and described how much I liked my Honda BF150. The BF150 and Outrage 20 were a great combination for me. I used the boat cruising and fishing in Vineyard Sound, Buzzards Bay, and Nantucket Sound. I have been fishing 60 miles south of the Martha's Vineyard in the boat. I've also taken it to Block Island(60 plus miles), Stellwagen Bank, Nantucket, and Newport. The boat is incredibly versatile. It can be fished offshore, or it can be beached on some sandy flats. The engine has always performed flawlessly...Great on gas, plenty of power. I had my engine maintained at the Honda dealership. You will be very happy if you decide to repower with this engine.

Oops! I now realize that the pics are the first you've taken since 2004.

Is there a trailer available?

crow posted 07-05-2009 01:19 PM ET (US)     Profile for crow  Send Email to crow
Hi PatK,

The trailer is a 2006 EZ Loader . It is a single axle trailer rated for 3700 pounds. The trailer is like new with appx. 150 miles on it. I purchased it new for $2,700.

Is your boat still for sale? How is the interior gelcoat, any crazing, and if so how much?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike,

The interior gelcoat is in very good shape. There are a few small spider cracks, but overall the inside is very clean.
