This seems like a pretty good price... I have never been on a 18' Dauntless with 150hp, and buddy of mine might be interested in this boat - anybody know how this might compare to my 170 Montauk with 115? |

More comfortable. Been on both, driven both. Better ride in chop also. Not as much interior room, but enough for two or three fisherman. |

If your friend would be willing to go as far as Michigan to get a super clean, freshwater kept Dauntless he should get in touch with Kevin Albus (Kalbus on CW). Kevin just upgraded to a gorgeous new Pursuit and will be selling his 180. I know he was going to list it in spring but, will sell it over the winter if a buyer can along. I will let him detail his asking price but, I know it is below the one on ebay above. His boat is a 2002 180 Dauntless with a Mercury 135 Optimax and a shoreland'r trailer. The motor has 416 hours and has always been dealer maintained to it's specified schedule. The motor also seems to provide some solid numbers as far as economy. http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum4/HTML/006379.html I know Kevin just spent a good chunk of change last season to have a complete canvas system made for the boat so, he could use it in any weather and sleep aboard for a week at a time on the BWGLCC trips (Isle Royal and North Channel Trips). Here are some images I have of his boat: |

I will be listing my 2002 Dauntless 180 for sale in March of 2012. The boat has the original 2002 Mercury Optimax 135, which has 416 hours on it. All maintenance on the motor has been performed by Colony Marine, an authorized Mercury Marine dealership, in accordance with the maintenance schedule in the owners manual. The boat is in pretty good condition for a 10-year old boat, and has many extras. It has been stored indoors for a good portion of its life. The boat is currently in winter indoor storage at Colony Marine and is not available for inspection. I will most likely list the boat for $18,500 when the time comes. If somebody wants to buy it now for the that price, sight unseen, I'm willing to make a deal. I am in the Detroit area. If you have any questions, please post them here or send me an email at kalbus@gillarylaw.com. |
