Can anybody give me a source to find a toggle tightener? It is the piece that compresses the spring back by motor on the tiller rope pulley system. Can't find one anywhere.I am not sure if that is the correct name for it. The wire rope connects to one end and the spring to the other end,you can then put tension on the spring. Going on 13,Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Just use the standard Perko made spring without the toggle. Be sure it is installed to starboard of the motor, not to port. Here's one for less than $5: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=50439& item=4561472573 Also see: http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/manual9-17/operations. html#steeringSystem |
