I have a 17'SSL w/2006 90 hp Suzuki. This year I have to start using 10% ethanol fuel. What would be the best inline fuel/water filter. They really need to have ethanol free fuel for boaters!

If you already decided on going with a filter/ water seperator, I think the models with the clear bowls that allow you to see what is in the filter is the way to go. A filter that seperates the water is great when it isn't full, I have twin filters (Racor) on my boat and can tell at a glance what is in the bottom of my filters. Stainless brackets are pretty neat also........Jack

Ditto on the Racor with the clear bowl. They are easy to install and allow you to visually monitor what is floating around your fuel and being filtered.

The Racor allows you to drain the separated water, so leave some clearance under it for a coontainer. Dave

My previous post would be only for those with raccoons in their fuel systems. Otherwisw, a container would be enough;-)

AZdave: ???

All: Racor is the brand you can take to the bank.

All: ??? I've had to run E10 in California for several years.
No filter, no problem. I do run the boat most weekends.
Don't get paranoid.
