I have a 17'SSL w/2006 90 hp Suzuki. This year I have to start using 10% ethanol fuel. What would be the best inline fuel/water filter. They really need to have ethanol free fuel for boaters! |

I use a RACOR. See http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/ fuelFilterTest-TrailerBoatsMag.pdf |

If you already decided on going with a filter/ water seperator, I think the models with the clear bowls that allow you to see what is in the filter is the way to go. A filter that seperates the water is great when it isn't full, I have twin filters (Racor) on my boat and can tell at a glance what is in the bottom of my filters. Stainless brackets are pretty neat also........Jack |

Ditto on the Racor with the clear bowl. They are easy to install and allow you to visually monitor what is floating around your fuel and being filtered. |

The Racor allows you to drain the separated water, so leave some clearance under it for a coontainer. Dave |

My previous post would be only for those with raccoons in their fuel systems. Otherwisw, a container would be enough;-) |
