I have a '73, which I am working on. I don't know about "prints", but go to the Whaler Central web site and start looking at the project boats that those who came before us have done. There is some good info, knowledge and direction to be gleaned from that. You basically are going to have to learn by doing. Good luck! Tommy |

It has been 38-years since your boat was assembled. What sort of drawings or diagrams to you anticipate will be available? I don't think you can get detailed drawings for boats being built this year. |

"I will check out that site." I think you mean THIS site. Everything you could want to know about restoring your Whaler can be found on THIS site. Depending on what you want to do you can find plans for various parts of the interior here. Use the search feature. The Boston Whaler Website from the manufacturer will be of know help to anyone fixing up their old Whaler. rich |

I've got a '75 Outrage 21. This site is best for searching for repair techniques and solutions, but Whaler Central has downloadable diagrams in its library (I've never found those here). Off the top of my head, the diagrams available include locations of below-deck wood for fastening, marking waterline for bottom paint, bow rail installation, canvas installation, and location of lifting eyes. I think you can also find early owner's manuals. Other than the above, search here. What specifically are you trying to accomplish? |

Boston Whaler customer service emails out all kinds of drawings of components and schematics. But I have never seen them send out assembly instructions or drawings showing how to assembly their boats There is a listing of a few very popular diagrams in the REFERENCE section. See http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/drawings.html Almost all these drawings came from Boston Whaler originally and were sent to someone via email. A few people posted the drawings they got from Whaler, but, unfortunately, there are now mainly dead links as people abandoned their websites. It is simpler to just contact Boston Whaler customer service and get the drawing you need from them. If anyone is going to have a drawing of an old Boston Whaler boat, it is probably Boston Whaler. They are enormously accommodating about emailing their drawings when asked nicely for one. |

Jim - If you would like to add the diagrams for the 21 Outrage I noted above to your documents page I could email them to you. |

Are the drawings available from Boston Whaler? |

They are all Boston Whaler documents, most dated 1970. I have no idea if Boston Whaler still distributes them. |

It's a little hard to tell exactly what kind of drawing you're asking for... An assembly drawing that exhibits the locations of various accessories/features? If you're looking for a drawing (engineering print) of the hull construction, I doubt you'll find one. Typically a company like this will keep old designs on hand in DRB's (design record books) in archives, but it's doubtful that they would be released to the public, for fear of attempted reproduction. |

An assembly drawing that exhibits the locations of various accessories/features? That's what I was after. Being 38 years old, I am sure they were never put onto a database. |

I've got a '73 and a '74. They came standard with two cleats - one at each quarter mounted atop the gunnel. My '73 has two additional cleats on each gunnel about halfway between the bow and console. My '74 has two flush mount rod holders in each gunnel. I removed the forward one as you cannot stow the stern light, boat hook, or anything else in the top under-gunnel rod holders with the forward flush mount installed. Both my boats have the bilge pump through-hull located on the starboard quarter, pumping overboard. If you need specific measurements or photos, email me and I can provide whatever I can. |

Make that a '73 and '75 (not a '74). |
