The storage compartment on my 1988 15 SS has three hinges on the door. Two holes of the hinges use wood screws and the other two use a machine screw that screws into a reciever that is threaded in the center but is smooth on the outside so it can be recessed. Don't know what these are called but I need four of them. The wood is .80" thick. Does anyone have any they would like to sell or know where they can be purchased. West Marine does not have them.

Tom - I forget what they are called - but Lowes, Home Depot - or any good hardware store - will have them in various sizes and thread pitch. --- Jerry/Idaho

Barrel nut or sex bolt are the most common names. Any good hardware store should have them in stainless steel.

Thanks for the replies. I looked at West Marine first and when they acted like they never had them (I had a sample) figured they would be hard to find. Off to the local haredware store. Tom

Update! Went back to West Marine and found them. They had reorganized their hardware and probably found alot of things they did't know they had.
