posted 06-15-2015 07:31 AM ET (US) Arrived at the boat yesterday and found the right wing window on my 1988 Revenge broken. I can't see any sign of impact just shattered safety glass. Any idea on how to source a replacement for this item?

Window is not available from Taylor Made unless custom made. I plan to replace it with plexi or lexan.

If you have the dimensions most glass shops can cut you a replacement out of laminated safety glass. Laminated glass doesn't shatter like tempered glass. If you have the frame off the boat just take it in and have them install it.

Just after I got my 1985 Revenge 22 WT in 2006 one of the wing windows blew off while I was trailering. I took the other one off and went to a local auto glasscompany; they made a template from the existing glass I had brought in, made the measurements for all the holes to be drilled, and made a replacement from tempered glass, same tint, (for $245, as I recall) and installed it. I sourced the latches (if you will) from TaylorMade:

Stock No. #11616 (Sold in pairs - left & right)
I also believe there is a thread here on CW along with photos regarding the replacement of my lost window. If I can find it I'll attach it to this thread

Ever since Pat had the misfortune with his REVENGE vent window, I always--well I try to always--check that we have closed the vent windows on the REVENGE windshield before we get on the road for trailering. I believe that, if you leave the vent window open while trailering, the wind pressure and the jarring of the road could work the catch mechanism loose. That would allow the vent window to fly open and possibly be broken. Maybe that happened to SLIPPERY EEL's REVENGE 22.
