GA76er	posted 04-04-2004 10:52 PM ET (US)         I am repowering my '76 Montauk. It now has a 75 hp with a long shaft. Will I need to replace it with a long shaft? or is a Standard 20" ok?
WHALERBOY 14	posted 04-04-2004 11:08 PM ET (US)             A long shaft is 20". the montauk requires a 20" shaft unless you have a jackplate then you can use a 25" shaft. the 20" is correct.
