I am repowering my '76 Montauk. It now has a 75 hp with a long shaft. Will I need to replace it with a long shaft? or is a Standard 20" ok? |

A long shaft is 20". the montauk requires a 20" shaft unless you have a jackplate then you can use a 25" shaft. the 20" is correct. You should check your other post http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/005878.html Joshua Walters Tightlines & Happy Whalin' |

15" = short shaft. 20" = long shaft. 25" = exta long shaft 30" = extra extra long shaft Sal |
