CdnWhalerGuy	posted 11-05-2004 02:07 PM ET (US)         I am now considering re-powering my 1981 Sport-15' with a 2005 Evinrude E-TEC, 60 or 70 HP motor. (The 60 EFI Yamaha did not get a very good review; see post "Re-Powering Sport-15 with 60-HP Yamaha"). Does anyone have any experience with the E-TEC 60 (or 50) on the Classic 15' hull? Mike Brantley	posted 11-06-2004 08:50 AM ET (US)             I have an E-Tec 50 on my 15 Sport, and I am very happy. The fastest this motor has pushed this boat was 34mph, but my load may be heavier than yours. I seldom want to go that fast in the 15. The 60 weighs the same as the 50, so that is an obvious choice, too, for the 15. My 15 sits a little lower in the stern now with the E-Tec as compared to my old Johnson 50, but no problems.
