SQUALL 9 Sail Rigging Diagrams

Postby jimh » Tue May 27, 2025 12:54 pm

I have added a large PDF file that contains 47 original drawings from Boston Whaler that give the details of the sail rigging for the SQUALL 9 model. See

These drawings are scans of the original drawings from Boston Whaler, and have passed through various online hosts on their journey here. I got this package of drawings about six years ago from forum participant ALAN G, who apparently downloaded them from a SQUALL support website. I had already posted a subset of the drawings that showed the general layout of the boat, but now all 47 diagrams are available for the extremely curious or very interested SQUALL devotee to download.

For a long time the SQUALL model was being very nicely supported by another website, and in respect for that site I decided that continuousWave would ignore the SQUALL models and let the other site have that segment of the Boston Whaler boat support. However, as often happens over a span of almost three decades, other websites come and go, and I believe the SQUALL archive went off-line some time ago.

If any SQUALL enthusiasts have more OEM information on the SQUALL, please contact me via PM. I may be able to host some of that information here. As I said more than 25-years ago, the purpose of continuousWave.com was to collect and organize information on the topics it covers. I guess the SQUALL is now included in that project.

ALAN G sent me a text document that provides a table of contents and other notes relating to the PDF archive package of SQUALL 9 Rigging drawings that is mentioned above. That text file is now available in the REFERENCE section in the

in the section on the SQUALL 9. Here is a direct link to the text file "Notes on SQUALL 9 Rigging Diagrams":

ALAN G sent me another very interesting 39-page PDF file that he compiled. It contains many excerpts from Boston Whaler literature over the years where the SQUALL 9 is mentioned, including photographs, specifications, prices, dimensions, and anything else pertaining to the SQUALL 9. This is likely the best compilation of information about the SQUALL 9 in one document you can ever find on-line.

The PDF file is also available in the REFERENCE section under the SQUALL 9 listings
